Song Lyrics

1.  I’ve Been Changed
By James M. Phillips
Musical Arrangement by Latitude 31
Verse One
God holds out His hand / and drops them into the deepest sea /
They sink down to the floor / not to be heard from anymore /
That was my sin / that was my life / but...
Chorus
I’ve been changed / I’m not the same /
I’m not that girl I used to be /
I was wrong / but I’m much stronger now /
I’ve been changed / I’m not the same /
Since Jesus’ blood washed over me /
And I’ve been changed / I’ve been changed (repeat last line)
Verse Two
Old friends run into me / and they don’t know me anymore /
They laugh and joke with me / about the things I’d done before /
What they don’t see / they soon will know / that...
Bridge
I’ve been, I’ve been changed (x 4)

2.
It’ll Be Okay
By James M. Phillips
Musical Arrangement by Latitude 31
Verse One
I’m takin’ a break / from all my worries
When I worry ‘bout trouble / it only makes it double
I’m takin’ my time / not in a hurry
I’m slowin’ down / quit runnin’ around…
Pre-Chorus
He said…cast all your cares on me…
Take up My yoke and you will…
Chorus
…see…My burden’s light / I’ll help you through the night
Just keep your eyes on…Me…If it don’t turn out your way /
It’ll be okay / It’ll be okay
Verse Two
I’m enjoyin’ the view / I wanna smell the roses
Try to enjoy my life / try to ignore the strife
And I thank God / that I am chosen
The Master Physician gave me / an old prescription…

3.  No More Yesterdays
By James M. Phillips
Musical Arrangement by Latitude 31
Verse One
Today is another day / With the rising of the sun
I hope I don’t make the same / Mistakes that I made
Only yesterday / Yesterday
Verse Two
I sit down and the read the page / To see what God has to say
About the mistakes I made / And what happens to
All of my yesterdays / Yesterday
Chorus
Oh…the price that You paid / The sacrifice You made
So on that fateful day You will say / No more yesterdays
Verse Three
At night I try to lay / My head down as I pray
I hope I did not hurt / Anyone on my way
To yesterday / Yesterday
Bridge
As far as east is from the west / And night is from the day
I know I’ll hear you say / No more yesterdays  (repeat)

4.  Can I Sing
By James M. Phillips
Musical Arrangement by Latitude 31
Verse One
The clouds they raise up high, high into the sky, hoping that they’re the one
The one He steps onto, on the day of His return
And the trees they raise their leaves, and wave them in the breeze
To praise the Great Creator
If they can do all that, well can I sing
Chorus
Can I sing, can I praise,
Can I dance, with my hands up raised
Can I sing, for my King
Verse Two
The waves they crash the shore, wanting more and more, to say His name
The rocks they make their way, to the light of day with hope
Hoping that some day, He will call on them, to praise His holy name
If they can do all that, well can I sing
Bridge
I sing Holy / Holy is the Lord (repeat four times)

5.  Beatitudes

6.  He Reigns
By James M. Phillips

With one foot on the mountain, and one foot on the sea, He reigns / While ruling over the heavens, and dwelling in my heart, He reigns

Someday we’ll cast our crowns before Him / and bow to our knees / and with our mouths / declare our Lord, He reigns

The heavens will clap with thunder / and all will see He lives
We’ll all rush up to meet Him / and declare eternally, oh He reigns / My God reigns

Someday we’ll cast our crowns before Him / and bow to our knees / and with our mouths / declare our Lord, He reigns

By Gina Babbitt, Zeke Brinsfield, Jimmy Drummond,
Justin Garner and James M. Phillips
Musical Arrangement by Latitude 31
Verse One
Take your master’s degree / take your PhD / take your philosophy / and your theory wanna be / it’s not about what you know
Take your abilities / take your social liberties / take your legalese / and all your money / it’s not about what you own

Finding truth in who knows you / sets you free / in the life He gave
Verse Two
Forget / your elected clout / forget your big white house
Forget your supermodel pout / and what you thought life was all about / It’s not about what you’ve sold
Bridge
Theoretically speaking, we are all God’s creatures.  Although, some of you don’t know where you come from, whether it was the amoebas swimming in the oceans or the monkeys hanging from the trees, we’ve all been force-fed the intellect of a polytheistic society.  Wow, professor, that’s deep.  Why, thank you Schwabbles, pay attention, class is in session.  Morals, smorals, you tell there’s no God, why should I be moral.  My Ch’i is in order, my surroundings are Feng Shui, oh, and let’s not forget, do unto others before they do unto you, these things really work with today’s youth.  Now, I know people who’ve invested their entire existence into quantum physics, molecular biology, and have a supreme command of 34 languages in 16 dialects and still do not have the brain trust to comprehend God’s simple truth.  I know things were easier when you were watching Winnie the Pooh, but God’s wisdom is freely given when He knows you.  One, two, three, four…

8.  Comfort Me
By James M. Phillips
Musical Arrangement by Latitude 31
Verse One
All my life I’ve tried to / find the things that comfort me / that comforts me
When I come to my senses / tear down my defenses / You show me peace

When the outcome looks so bleak / and my body feels so weak
I can see Your arms / stretching out to me / and You comfort me
Chorus
With a peace that is true / I know I can turn to You / and that comforts me
I can feel You hold my hand / when I don’t understand / You comfort me
Verse Two
Through my phases and travels / when it comes unraveled / I feel Your peace
When the earth is shaken / I know Your taking me / to a higher place
Bridge
You comfort me / You comfort me / You comfort me / You comfort me

9.  I Never Knew You
By Zeke Brinsfield
Musical Arrangement by Latitude 31

When did you / Visit My / Prison walls
When did you / Rescue Me / From the cold
Chorus
Don’t you know / All you do to the least / You do unto Me
Through your ways / Of complex life / I never knew you
Verse Three
When did you / Satisfy / My hunger
When did you / Clothe My / Broken body
Bridge
Burn / My brokenness
Burn / My wickedness
Burn / The pain that’s in me
Burn / My sinful way
Set my heart on fire / And let it burn
Sow the seed of life / And help me learn
Lord, I want Your will for me
Create a pure heart and set me free
Now I know Your precious ways, my Lord
I will never hear You say these words

10.  Conversation With An Atheist
By James M. Phillips
Musical Arrangement by Latitude 31
Verse One
Tell me what you know / that makes you believe in a God you cannot see / tell me how you feel / when the craziness of this world just proves to me / that God’s not real, real
Chorus
That’s why they call it faith / not based on proof or based on how I feel / anything you say / will not change the fact that I know my God / my God is real, real
Verse Two
How can I / Show you something that you refuse to see / how can you / find the answer when all you want to believe / is God’s not real, real
Bridge
If you knew me then / like you know me now / you’d see He changed my life / and turned it around / I have a friend / that should’ve died / but God healed his sickness / and he’s alive / yeah he’s alive

11.  Show Me the Way
By James M. Phillips, Gina Babbitt and Zeke Brinsfield
Musical Arrangement by Latitude 31

I’d rather be hot that cold / ‘cause this lukewarm is getting old / to God and my friends / they want to know where I stand
Chorus
I don’t know why / I get confused sometimes / I can’t even, tell the time of day / so I / will take a little time / and let God’s word / show me the way
Verse Two
Ridin’ the fence will always tear my pants / ‘cause it’s so hard not take a glance / at the grass on the other side / it looks so green, it looks so high
Ending
That’s when I /  will take a little time / and let God’s word / show me the way / it’ll show me the way / it’ll show me the way
